well as far as dirt jumping, the best places are Post Office, Cob's Backyard, Mike's Backyard, and the Scotts Valley Step-Up is perfect for learning new tricks. For downhill there are tons of super dialed trails in ucsc, and some sick ones in Nisene Marks.
